Too good. Love listening to this. As my friend Dominie Shelden says - this should be played at my funeral.

Dr. Dog Heart It Races
Super good. I keep hearing this on Turntable. It makes me feel good about people sharing music and exposing themselves to new (and old) stuff!
Shawn Lee's Ping Pong Orchestra feat. Nino Mochella - Kiss The Sky
Heard this watching Eastbound and Down last night. That show is really silly and also has some amazing music!

Speak Plainly Diana (Electric) by Joe Pug
Great song from Joe Pug - singer/songwriter out of Chicago, IL. This video is a compilation of footage they shot while on the last tour. He made a stop in Pullman and I got to catch the show - loved it all the way through.
A handful of shots in this video are from the BellTower, where they played in Pullman, along with some shots of the drive north on Highway 95 from Boise. At the show, Joe commented on how beautiful the drive was and how much everyone in the van loved it. I know exactly what he's talking about - that drive is stunning no matter what time of year you do it.

TV on the Radio - Ambulance Lyrics (Album Version)
Just had a yearning to listen to this song a minute ago. Worth taking the time.

Wilco - Muzzle Of Bees
This song randomly popped into my head immediately following a terribly dull staff meeting. I wish rad songs did that more often after similar situations.
The Head and the Heart - Cats and Dogs & Coeur D'Alene (Live on KEXP)
Really like this band. Really like the Seattle music scene. Really like Coeur D'Alene.
The Lonely Forest - We Sing In Time (Live on KEXP)
This band is maturing well... I posted a previous version of this song a long time ago. I'm a fan of both.

All My Days - Alexi Murdoch (HQ)
This song might already be on here, but in case it isn't... haha!
This video is awesome. Time lapse's are always cool to me. What makes it cooler is that the guy who made the video did it for "the love of (his) life".
Moondog - Lament I, "Bird's Lament"
This guy is really interesting - Purposefully lived on the streets for 20 years just because he wanted to. Awesome. Read more! Check the Wikipedia page!

Mia and Jonah - Rooms
This song popped up on Pandora this afternoon. I was writing the song and band name down about ten seconds into the song - I could just tell it was something good, something worth noting, and something worth sharing.

The Horde & the Harem - Gold Rush
I've met these guys, or at least two of em. They are pretty rad people. They live with my friend Stephen in Seattle. I've been trying to talk them into coming and playing a show out here in Pullman, but no such luck yet.
PS - They have baby goats. What? Goats? Yes. It makes them more awesome.
Billy Bragg - Way Over Yonder in the Minor Key (w/ Wilco & Natalie Merc...
Pretty cool version of this song. Plus, I'm a sucker for Wilco.
Mumford & Sons "The Cave" and "Dust Bowl Dance" @ Lowlands 2010
I've been listening to a lot of Mumford and Sons since I got back from vacation. I need to go buy this album.

AWOLNATION- "Kill Your Heroes" Lyric Video
I think I posted a song called "Sail" by these guys a while ago. My cousin also heard that song and has since fallen for these guys. She posted this song the other day and I really like it. I think I might even be cutting my vacation video to it.

Joseph Arthur-Even Tho
My favorite Joseph Arthur song. Bibes comes through to put a smile on my face at the end of an incredibly long day. Super thankful.

Strand of Oaks - 'Kill Dragon' | Weekender Sessions
Just saw this guy perform live tonight over in Pullman. He killed it. This song particularly. It gave me chills as I sat there and listened in amazement. The rest of the set was all enjoyable, but this song stuck out and was certainly the high point.
Strand of Oaks - Kill Dragon
Here is the recorded version. lyrics are in the details if you watch on youtube.

Modest Mouse - Jesus Christ Was An Only Child
Another catchy yet strange song by Modest Mouse. I've always been intrigued by their lyrics.

Jared Mees And The Grown Children: 'Bees'
These guys are playing a show in Moscow tomorrow. TONS of music in the area tomorrow night... Three shows in Moscow, two in Pullman. Not sure which one I'll be going to. I love that I have that problem.

Mark Morrison - Return Of The Mack [OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO]
Woke up with this stuck in my head. Awesome!

The Donkeys - Don't Know Who We Are
"Don't Know Who We Are" by The Donkeys by deadoceans
This band is pretty awesome. They are releasing their album Born With Stripes today! Check it out. I would love to get these guys to swing by Moscow or Pullman!

Clint Eastwood - Gorillaz
This brings em back to the High school days. Benn listening to this whole album this morning. It's surprising how many lyrics still know.

Harry Chapin W.O.L.D. (WOLD)
Totally stuck in my head. Heard it while driving up to pick up my new motorcycle!

Steve MArtin. Yes, that Steve Martin. He's got it together. Great sound!

Laugh Love Fuck
This song is way too catchy for its own good. I love GOOD funk music. This is GOOD funk. It's got a good message with it too... kinda. I take it to say that we shouldn't take life so seriously...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Coup
Read up on this group and its members... interesting stuff. Look for more music from these guys in the future.
The Flaming Lips - The W.A.N.D. (Video)
The flaming lips are such an amazing, trippy group. All of their music surprises me.
Grizzly Bear - Two Weeks (music video in HD) Veckatimest out now
This is the third Grizzly Bear song I've posted. This one has the coolest video. By Far.
Diamond Messages - Liquid Summer
Originally heard this as part of a GoPro user Video of the Day. Found this full song video though. It's kind of weird.
The Way - Billy Goodrum (There's Something About Mary)
Straight off of the credits of There's Something About Mary... a very catchy tune.
Van Morrison - Sweet Thing
Van Morrison is a badass. I don't know how I haven't shared any of his music yet. How about a double dose? These are two of my favorites.
The Wilderness Downtown Video. Power of HTML5. Music: Arcade Fire - We U...
I love Arcade Fire. Still one of my top three shows. So happy they won Best Album.
Three Dog Night-One Is The Loneliest Number
Three Dog Night was one of the first bands that my dad and I could agree on. The other was Flogging Molly. We took a really long road trip to a family reunion back when I was 16. Those two CD's were played the most, because we couldn't agree on much else.
My, how the times have changed!
Local Natives - Airplanes
I saw these guys perform as they passed through Pullman WA. Edward Sharpe was supposed to play at that show too... but he called in sick. :/
Back on the Local Natives - This band is getting bigger and bigger. Makes me proud to support the local music scene!
Sean Hayes- Rosebush Inside (Morees Bickham)
This song reminds me a few artists. Sometimes I think thats a bad thing, and then other times I think its a cool thing.
RJD2 "Work It Out" music video
Another great track from RJD2. The real reason I shared this though is the video. Bill Shannon didn't let life hold him back from doing what he loved to do. The world needs more inspiring people like this in it.
Moby "Flying foxes"
Originally heard this song used in a student produced piece here at UI a couple years ago. Took me a while to realize it was Moby...
Smoke & Mirrors
RJD2 has some of the best beats ever. I also really like this fan video of 8mm footage shot on a trip to NY.
Elliott Smith-Twilight
Another great track from Elliot Smith. I've shared this with a handful of people. I've also used it to help lull me into a deep, amazing sleep.
Elliott Smith - Between The Bars
Elliot Smith will go down as one of the most influential musicians of my time. I'm sad he's not around any more, but sometimes I just think that people are put here to serve a purpose... Elliot Smith and Curt Cobain types alike, are here to accomplish greatness. Who's to say that if they were still here that they'd still be making great music?
That's kind of a morbid thought/statement, but I've thought about it that way a few times. Look at the other people in the genre and era of these people. Very few stayed true to their roots and continued making music they way they wanted to.
Kristin Hersh - Me And My Charms (live)
My good friend Kyle Pettingil shared this with me. What an amazing, raw, and emotional song. My kind of music.
Cat Power - Fool
Cat Power is easily one of my top two favorite female vocalists... I can never commit to anything as a favorite, so thats pretty much the only reason she's not my #1.
Bon Iver | Skinny Love | A Take Away Show
My favorite Bon Iver song recorded by one of my favorite directors. This song has played on repeat far too many times for me still to be considered a sane person.
Homeless Man - Under Pressure
A performance of Queen's "Under Pressure" using two Kermit Muppets. This thing went viral overnight! Pretty cool.
Last Minutes with ODEN
"He showed me, through his example, how to love, and I loved him. I don't think I showed him how to love, I think he showed me how to love."
What an incredible story. I think this story can be found all across the world. It's amazing how animals and humans can create such amazingly tight bonds... and how your best friend will always be there for you.
Justin Vernon Aaron Dessner - Big Red Machine - (11 of 31)
I heard this song in the video, "Last minutes with Oden". Both the song and the video pull at my heart.
Damien Rice - Volcano - Official Video
Another facebook wall steal. Am I a facebook stalker for doing this so much??
Ahh, I don't care. I'll continue to do it if it gets me exposed to good things like this/
Sesame Street: Kermit And Cookie Monster And The Mystery Box
Easily one of my favorite Sesame Street Skits. I don't really remember any of them from growing up, so this is only based on the ones I've seen again more recently. This was posted to a friends Facebook wall. I laughed a ton.
OK Go - White Knuckles - Official Video
Yeah yeah yeah... another crazy awesome video from those OK GO! people. I can't not share it though.. It's too awesome. And I love dogs. Deal with it.
Mandolin Rain - Bruce Hornsby
Another track from the "World's Greatest Dad" Soundtrack. I'd love to hear the whole version of this acoustic track. This movie made me a Horsnby Fan. This song in particular. I can't get enough of it.
brendan benson "tiny spark"
Heard this from the movie "World's Greatest Dad". I really liked the movie, but boy did it mess with my emotions. It's got to be one of the darkest comedy's I've ever seen. Really tough subject.
Wrong one to pick that night, haha...
Cake - Jolene
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite Cake songs. I hadn't heard it in forever... and I must not have liked it the first time I heard it, but my tastes have changes for the better, I'd say.
I re-heard this while driving out to visit my cousin in the Tri-Cities area. Definitely let it loop a few times to help keep me awake on that really boring long and straight road.
Suckers - Easy Chairs
Can't remember where I first heard this song... may be another Jessie Biber suggestion.
Finn Riggins - Wake (Keep This Town Alive)
This is a somewhat local band... they formed while going to school in Moscow Idaho (my current town) and now reside in Boise. They are growing their fan base pretty rapidly... and thats easily explained by their catchy tracks like this one!

tUnE-yArDs - Bizness
Oh my word. This song as absolutely captivated me. I've been repeating it over and over. I love looping music, and anytime someone is doing that with their own voice as an instrument, its all the more impressive.
Tuny Yards have an open date as they pass from BC to Boise... I'd love to try and convince them to play my hometown!

The Brian Jonestown Massacre - Straight Up & Down (LONG VERSION)
A few years ago I came across Brian Jonestown Massacre. Such a complex band and individual in Anton... but dang could they create some really great music. This was played on KEXP the other day - the shorter version - and that prompted me to dig around and find this.
I think one of my most favorite things are looooong songs.

The Peanuts Theme
I've always been a sucker for piano. And Charlie Brown. I see a lot of parallel's in our lives.
